“Evil Obsession” is the true story of Annie Cook from North Platte, Nebraska, and her insatiable pursuit of money and power. This entrepreneur of the 1940’s had her hand in the bootlegging, prostitution, gambling and politics of the town dubbed “Little Chicago.”

The abuse suffered by anyone unlucky enough to get in Annie’s way is absolutely chilling. Although neighbors and town folk knew of her cruelty, or at least suspected it, nothing was done to stop her. The screenplay centers on two children, Joe and Mary, who were raised on the Cook farm and tells of their plight to freedom from the clutches of this wicked woman.
